OBX Kids
Children grow so fast, one minute they are a baby in your arms, the next they are graduating from high school. All of the moments in between are priceless and fleeting. As time goes by, our memory dims, but the surest way to keep those memories safe are with photographs. Whether you choose to have your child photographed at your home, the beach, the park, or any number of beautiful and fun locations in your area, we at Shelley Chamberlin Photography are dedicated to create fun and beautiful photographs of your child that will make you smile for many years to come.
All you ever wanted to know about your session…
FAQ:
1. Where will the session take place?
Anywhere you want! My home studio, your home, a local park or garden – you make the call. I generally recommend that newborns are photographed at your home – easier on them – easier on you!!
2. How long will my session be?
Usually about 1 to 2 hours – newborns sometimes a little longer.
3. What about clothing?
Here are some suggestions. Bring one light solid color top and one dark solid color top and a pair of jeans. Now that the basics are covered – we can get creative! Does your little girl like to dress up in her pink tutu with cowboy boots? Bring them! Is your boy a crazy hat guy? Let’s capture it! I’ts best to avoid shirts with logs and busy patterns – bring a few changes of outfits and let’s have fun!
4. How about shoes, hair and accessories?
My motto – “simple is best!” Bare feet are always in style! Jewelry, bows and such should be kept at a minimum for a more timeless feel. In my opinion “natural’ hair ( how they wear it everyday) looks great!
5. Anything else I should think about?
Well rested children with happy tummies make the best models!
If your child has a favorite blankie or stuffed animal – bring it! Other things you might bring: a favorite toy, a small bunch of fresh cut flowers, a dance costume or sports uniform and the accompanying paraphenalia – what does your child love???
Chapstick works well for smoothing dry lips – and oh… I hate to even mention it…but…
kids look best with clean faces and….um…clean noses…
